The HH2100V Offers Flexible, Secure Communications utilizing the same streamlined operator controls as the Spectre V manpack.
London, UK (PRWEB) September 10, 2013
Datron World Communications, Inc. (http://www.dtwc.com), a leader in tactical military communications products, today announced the introduction of its new Spectre V™ HH2100V ruggedized tactical VHF handheld radio. With the addition of the HH2100V to the Spectre V family of tactical radios, secure and flexible network communications operating over the 30-88 MHz band are now extended to dismounted soldiers across the theater of operations.
The HH2100V features embedded ECCM, COMSEC and GPS capabilities and meets MIL STD 810 for reliable operation in harsh environments. Accurate position and time-of-day capability is afforded by the embedded GPS receiver, while full- or partial-band frequency hopping and digital encryption waveforms offer a high level of jamming resistance and security. Utilizing the pre-programmed short message functions, soldiers in the field can communicate quickly and quietly with the touch of a button.
“The HH2100V provides our customers with powerful VHF communications in a simple to use and rugged form factor that is designed for use in the harshest of environments,” said Kevin Kane, CEO of Datron. “It addresses today’s most pressing battlefield needs with a full range of embedded features, and is fully compatible with all encryption and hopping modes in our Spectre V family of products.”
The HH2100V handheld radio is fully interoperable with the PRC2100V manpack radio supporting network configurations from command headquarters to dismounted soldiers in the field utilizing the base station, vehicle mount, mobile and retransmit capabilities of the PRC2100V manpack.
Datron will be showcasing the HH2100V at booth N4-316 during DSEI 2013 in London, UK beginning Tuesday, September 10th.
