The call came in shortly before 9 p.m. on May 16: an armed robbery at the Radio Shack on 8213 Georgia Avenue.
As police broadcasted a suspect description over the radio, one officer saw a woman matching that description step into a taxi a block away.
The officer stopped the taxi and arrested Hawnese Taylor, 21, of the 45500 block of Knockeyon Lane in Great Mills, MD, according to a news release from police. She is charged with armed robbery.
Taylor allegedly displayed what appeared to be a handgun when she entered the Radio Shack and announced a robbery.
