If the old saying success leaves clues then business leader Michael Stein wants to take it one step further and share his knowledge with aspiring entrepreneurs via the radio. Michael Stein started his business in 1999 when the Internet was still young. His web-based business consisted of selling tarps, canopies, party tents and various other types of covers used by the film industry. He started his company by selling tarps out of his house in Sherman Oaks, California, and eventually grew it into a multimillion dollar business that now offers all types of outdoor gear. The company is the top tarp supplier nationwide. Whenever there is a hurricane and you see blue poly tarps on top of roofs that have been damaged, chances are the tarps are from Tarps Plus. Michael now wants to share his ideas and concepts for success on the radio. The Antelope Valley newscast in California will be featuring Michael Stein every Friday at 8:30 AM offering unique business techniques and how they pertain to current events, sports, and simple circumstances concerning everyday life.
Michael, a self-proclaimed expert on business, personal growth and fitness says he enjoys sharing ideas about his success and various aspects of business techniques. “I just think it’s fun to share concepts and ideas that helps you become successful. Another successful friend told me that selling tarps out of your small rented house with no seed money and building it into a large, successful business with multiple locations around the country would be valuable advice. Once they put it into those terms. I felt like, okay, this could be substantiated.”
Stein started his company with $342 in his bank account and a 4-year-old computer in 1999. He sold plastic tarps out of his one-bedroom home he was renting in Sherman Oaks, California. Today the company is a multimillion dollar enterprise and has a 25,000 ft.² warehouse in Palmdale, California and is commencing construction on another 25,000 ft.² warehouse in Weir Texas. The company manufactures and distributes tarps, tents, hammocks, camping gear, as well as a new line of educational children’s toys that can be used indoors as well as outdoors.
The radio show is called “Stein Time” it airs every Friday at 8:30 AM on Channel 1380am.
