Not included among them are "Dead Poets Society" and "Good Will Hunting," two of his more acclaimed films, for the simple reason that I've never warmed to them. "Moscow on the Hudson" (1984): Williams as a Russian musician who defects and must adjust to life in America, in an ideal comedy-drama showcase from director Paul Mazursky. "Good Morning, Vietnam" (1987): A superb mix of Williams' ability to be both funny and heartfelt, in a film about an irreverent armed services radio deejay during the Vietnam war. "What Dreams May Come" (1998): The height of visual invention in its time, this drama starred Williams as a newly dead man looking for his wife in the next world. "Death to Smoochy" (2002): The Williams movie for people who don't like Williams' usual warm persona, this comedy featured him as a nasty clown - and he was hysterically funny. "Insomnia" (2002): Williams held his own opposite Al Pacino, playing a dangerous creep - another departure from his usual screen persona. 1989 - "Dead Poets Society" (Golden Globe Award for best actor), "I'm From Hollywood" 1991 - Dead Again, The Fisher King (Golden Globe Award for best actor, nominated for Oscar), Hook, Shakes the Clown, Rabbit Ears: 1992 - "Toys,""Aladdin" (voice, special Golden Globe Award), "The Timekeeper" (voice), "FernGully" (voice) 1997 - "Good Will Hunting" (Academy Award for best supporting actor, nominated for Golden Globe), "Flubber,""Deconstructing Harry,""Father's Day" 1998 - "Patch Adams" (Golden Globe nomination for best actor), "Junket Whore,""What Dreams May Come" Reported by SFGate 45 minutes ago.
