Construction may finally begin on the long-awaited Capital Pointe project in Regina this summer, four-and-a-half years after it was first announced.
The lot at the corner of Victoria Ave. and Albert St. has sat vacant since the demolition of the Plains Hotel in December 2011. A 26-storey hotel and condo has been promised to fill the spot, and the project manager told News Talk Radio on Tuesday that construction should only be a few months away.
