Thousands of pigs are dead after a fire at Big Sky Farms northwest of Lanigan.
Humboldt RCMP and the fire department got the call about the fire around 6:10 p.m. Monday.
Smoke was coming out of the eves of the building when they got to the scene but the fire became fully involved very quickly.
The barn was housing 4,500 young pigs at the time and all of them died in the fire. No people were hurt, according to police.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
