Chief Election Commissioner V S Sampath has asked All India Radio (AIR) and Doordarshan (DD) to run novel messages and advertisements for increased voter participation in Lok Sabha polls. Speaking at a National level Workshop for Heads of Regional News Units and Correspondents of AIR and DD in New Delhi today, Mr Sampath urged them to assist the Election Commission to enforce model code of conduct during the polls and bring any deviation to the notice of the Commission.
