![Manufacturing boss takes on Exeter radio station role]()
This is Devon -- A Devon manufacturing boss has been appointed chairman of Exeter based commercial radio station Radio Exe. Rex Rozario OBE will take over the chairmanship from Paul Nero, who will remain as chief executive of the brodcasting company. Mr Rozario is chairman of Crediton-based circuit board manufacturer Graphic plc, which has facilities in China, Denmark and the US. Radio Exe, which broadcasts across the Exeter, Mid and East Devon area on FM and more widely online and through mobile apps, has become a successful independent business since a majority stake in the company was acquired by locally owned Exe Broadcasting Limited in 2011. Previously known as Exeter FM, it had been controlled and managed by a London-based company until then. Chief executive Paul Nero says: "We're honoured that someone of Rex's calibre and profile is to lead our company - and two years to the day since we launched Radio Exe. "Not only is Rex an astute and successful businessman and a source of sage advice, he also loves his music, which is perfect for a radio station." Mr Rozario says: "Very few places in the UK now have an independent radio station. Radio Exe is a growing, locally managed station that has a clear commitment to serving the community as well as producing great radio. My task is to provide clear leadership for a new board that will support Paul Nero and his team."
