This is Devon -- A radio station DJ surprised his girlfriend of five years by proposing to her live on air. Dan Surrock, 33, was presenting on the local radio station Liskeard FM when he asked girlfriend Kelly Tyler to marry him. Luckily for Dan, Kelly was listening to the live show at home last Sunday and accepted the proposal – texting him saying "yes". After popping the question, Dan asked Kelly, 33, to look under their Christmas tree, where she found a white box holding her diamond engagement ring, a bottle of champagne and chocolates. Dan, of Liskeard, said: "I told everyone a text had come through and faded out the music, only to announce it was from T-Mobile telling me some free texts had just been added to my account. I think that caused a bit of laugh around Liskeard but the next text was the one I was waiting for. "I was so nervous, I can't remember what music I played before and after the proposal, but I was over the moon and relieved to see the 'yes' word." Kelly said: "I couldn't believe it when I heard what Dan was saying. I was shocked and surprised but I didn't think twice about what my answer would be. I'm very happy."
